Thank you for inquiring with Exemplar. We appreciate your interest and are more than happy to address any questions you have throughout the process. Our team has put together some of the more frequently asked questions below. If you have something specific, feel free to email us at info@ExemplarHPO.com and someone will respond as soon as possible. Who owns the Network? Published on July 30, 2019
The Network is owned by its members and as a Network member you have an equal voice and thereby receive equal payment from the Network.
Why wouldn’t you sell the Exemplar Network to a larger organization or parent company? Published on July 30, 2019
Exemplar is extremely proud of what we have built in a very short period of time and have no plans to sell the Network. As an independent pharmacist, Russell Patterson, the Founder, is committed to maintaining the Network to benefit the independent community...
Russell is not motivated by money or other private equity groups (PEGs) who may have interest in this innovative structure. Russell’s motivation comes from an unwavering commitment to working within the independent community to produce jobs. “You can’t cash checks when you die, you can cash in good works that you do for people and I hope one of those good works is creating great jobs and empowering people.”
What is in it for Exemplar? Published on July 30, 2019
Every company Exemplar owns is reliant on independent pharmacies being successful. As the network grows and becomes stronger, Exemplar will earn more money, however that will occur in unison with its members...
In true partnerships, it takes the collective for everyone to be successful and we believe that is the infrastructure and model we have created with Exemplar.
How many Pharmacies and Primary Care Physicians have joined the network to date? Published on July 30, 2019
Our team has been meeting with independents across the country for less than six months and have grown to nearly 250 network members. Through personal meetings and discussions, we are connecting with as many independents as quickly as possible and have plans in place to eclipse 2,000 members by later this year.
How does the Network make money if you aren’t charging a membership fee? Published on July 30, 2019
The Network makes money from the PBM. The PBM is required to pay 50% of Net Profit to Network.
Are Network members only allowed to work with Exemplar PBMs? Published on July 30, 2019
The Network was created to help pharmacies optimize their business through more lives and better reimbursements. If a network member already works with a preferred PBM, we welcome them to join the Network.
Can you tell us who has joined to date? Published on July 30, 2019
We have a full list of verified partners and are happy to share if needed. We are growing and adding members daily, so that list is continuously shifting.
Will this impact my PSAO, Buying Group, Wholesaler, or anything else you can insert her besides number of customer and net profit. Published on July 30, 2019
No! Everyone will continue to operate as always with no changes. The Network simply brings more customers and better reimbursement to the pharmacies.
